The same thing is happening what happened with TTT in September, ignoring what the community wants. "Oh the new case that brings buncha new random bullshit will for sure bring new players in." making people owners for doing NOTHING RELEVANT to becoming an owner. "He got owner because he got people onto the server." That's the biggest pile of dogshit I've ever heard in my entire life. The entire TTT LT protested to that individual becoming SO. However you didn't listen to us - the people that spent a lot of time with the "candidate," and had the literal most experience with their staffing ability, and (no offense to the person I'm referring to) him doing nothing in server's benefit as a result because he just wasn't fit to be Owner.
The community is never getting listened to, GMOD itself is dying since the game is literally turning 18 this year - however with a mega-inflated economy that SSRP has, making it literally impossible for a "new" player to get into and wondering why no one plays on the server anymore. I've tried SSRP a bunch of times and just couldn't get into it because people had GJuggs while I had less than >1bil. Suggestions such as resetting the economy on server 2 or 3 (can't remember which one it was) so that new players might actually join and not just get blasted by some fucking virgin that's been sitting in their mum's basement for the last 4 years playing on the same server. Thinking that just because you have your LT which is like 8 ppl on the server will make the people stay is delusional, SSRP has
PROGRESS unlike the other gamemodes in the community, that's why for some servers it does indeed work if there are a proper amount of players on. Sure TTT has guns, but when me and my LT were working on the balance changes, we made the weapons on TTT all as balanced as possible, making the progress aspect not so mandatory, but optional.
But that's just my 2 cents
