I'd say anyone who spends as much as an hour a day on the computer has that problem (more or less). You said it yourself; motivation is the issue. Playing games all day keeps your brain active on useless stuff, it gives you the kind of fulfillment you think you need but what you actually need are real hobbies. I don't know how to say it to convince you but if something is wrong with your life you gotta make a change - Nobody is gonna make that change for you.

If you spend a week without your pc you might realise you don't actually need it as long as you find something to replace it with. It could be some real life hobbie like painting or whatever but don't come crying on the forums because this is the third if not the fourth post i've seen from you and you clearly don't take anyones advice you just keep on crying because you can't get your lazy ass to back to work.

The problem isn't PC as much as it is video games, you can easily pick up hobbies that can be productive on your PC, in the past I've done it with learning Sony Vegas/Photoshop/SFM for my YouTube stuff and it really helped me get out of the dark rut I was in, you don't have to completely ditch your computer to be productive.

And I understand where you are coming from but try being a little less hostile my man, you can get your point across without the passive aggressiveness.

I'm getting your point aswell but the computer brings distractions; the second you open your browser you might find yourself stuck on some pornsite. Sure I do programming as as hobby but whenever you'll go to youtube for a tutorial for instance you might find it hard stay on task. And maybe it worked for you to be productive on the pc but not everyone can do that and it's something that Sorle isn't capable of clearly.

I'm learning programming as a hobby + at school and I also write on my computer a fair bit, but you make a strong point in that I find it hard to stay on task.

anyway, my mood's lifting a little bit after being more productive with my time, might come on a little bit more but not too much until i feel like it won't affect my staffing

I've done mental/spiritual counseling, therapy, meds, etc. I'm currently on antidepressants and antianxiety medication. If you think a chat might help out in any way, please don't hesitate to reach out. The last thing you should do when feeling down is actively avoid help, I wish I understood that years ago.

this is why I love chummy

On some real shit, you can talk to this guy about anything for real. It's sad that some struggles that you'll probably list or talk to him about he relates too, but it's definitely someone you can rely on to spill out your thoughts. All these people saying "hit them up" if you really got some shit to talk about just tell em, it's better than keeping all your shit in your head. Glad your mood is lifting, yet just know multiple people are there to talk to G.
