Explain how you feel that your time as a moderator will contribute to you becoming an admin:
In my time as a Moderator, I have been trying my best to keep the server clean of people breaking the rules and trying to ensure that all of the users are able to enjoy their time on the server. I have encountered people rulebreaking, and punished them accordingly. I feel that in my time as a Moderator, I have managed to grasp staffing on Bhop very well, and I feel as though I will be able to help out even more as an Admin than I have been able to so far as a Moderator.
Explain a situation as a moderator you encountered that was an obstacle you had to work around:
Despite the fact that I have not been a Moderator for an overly large amount of time, there has still been an obstacle that I have encountered. This obstacle was two users who were constantly disrespecting other users and micspamming. To begin with, I verbally warned the two users, telling them to stop. They continued, and so I voice muted them both and told them that if it happened again, they would get another mute accompanied by a warn. After being unmuted, the users continued with their behaviour, and so, as promised, I warned them and voice muted them again. Despite the fact that they should have learnt to stop at this point, they continued again after being unmuted, and so I once again warned and voice muted them. At this point, the users left the server, but if they had stayed and continued with their appalling behaviour, I would have had to call an admin online, because, if it had continued, a ban may have been required.
If you had to write a letter to train a moderator in between 100-200 words, what would you say to give them the full grasp?:
Congratulations <player>! You are now a Moderator on the ZARP Bhop server! As a Moderator, you now have some responsibilities and powers in order to help the server to be a better place. You are now a role model towards the users, and some of them will look up to you and follow the rules as you do, so make sure that you set a good image for yourself and the server.
One of the first things that you will need is the staff ethos, which you can find here:
zarpgaming.com/index.php/forum/general-d...335-zarp-staff-ethos
The staff ethos shows you how you should handle situations in order to be fair to all users, so make sure that you follow it.
You will also want to know to use a player's SteamID when you are punishing them, or use the TAB menu. Press TAB and click on a players name. Under their profile picture, you can see their SteamID, which you can click to copy. In the TAB menu, you can also see some of your commands. This is one of the easiest ways to punish people, however there are some commands which are not in the TAB menu, or you may need to type to punish them for some reason.
Now, onto the new commands that you have in order to carry out your role.
First of all, you have the command to mute a player from typing in chat. You should use this if a player is spamming or being disrespectful, or rulebreaking by using chat in any way. Give the player a verbal warning to stop first, and then mute them. You can mute them using the command
/mutechat <SteamID> <Minutes>
Next, you have the teleport command. This will teleport the given player to the location you are looking at. Use this only if a player is stuck. The command for this is
/tp <SteamID>. Use /tp without any arguments to teleport yourself.
Similarly to the teleport command is the bring command. This will teleport the given player to your location. Again, use this if a player is stuck.
/bring <SteamID>. If you use this command with 2 SteamIDs, it will teleport the first SteamID to the second. In the TAB menu, you will also see a list come up when you try to bring them. Select the person you want to teleport them to.
There is also the freeze command. There are few situations in which you would want to use this. If a player is exploiting in order to complete the map and will not stop, you may want to freeze them so that you can teleport them back to the start before they are able to complete the map by exploiting.
[/freeze <SteamID>
You can use the slay command in a similar situation to the freeze command. If a player is exploiting and will not stop, you can slay them as a way to send them back to the start of the map.
/slay <SteamID>
Next, we have the command to strip a user's weapons. This command is one that you will likely have little use for. If a situation arises in which you do need to use it, you can do
/strip <SteamID>
Finally, is the back command. This will teleport you or the SteamID provided to their last position before a teleport or back to spawn.
/back <SteamID>
You can also now attend staff meetings on the ZARP Teamspeak server
ts.zarpgaming.com at 8PM British Time (GMT / BST) (Or later, depending on how long the TTT meeting lasts for) every Sunday to vote on new staff members and suggestions.
If you have any other questions or need any help at all in your time as staff, don't hesitate to ask another member of staff!
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x appeals their ban in great detail, apology and effort. You check the ban list and find that you banned them permanently for cheating, and that this is their first ban. How would your response to the appeal be?
Since I was the one who made the ban, I would not be able to handle the appeal. I would, however, speak with the person who handles the appeal and attempt to reach a conclusion to shorten the user's ban to anywhere between 3 and 5 days, due to the fact that it was their first punishment, and they should be given a chance to prove that they can change and follow the rules. If I were the one to handle the appeal (if the ban was made by someone other than myself), I would respond with the following:
Hello <user>,
After reviewing your appeal and speaking with the staff member who punished you, we have come to the following conclusion:
Your ban will be shortened to 3 days. Ensure you read the rules to ensure that nothing like this happens again.
Thank you for your appeal!
Why I should be promoted (we recommend around 100 words):
I think that I should be promoted because I am highly experienced and trusted in staffing positions, in my roles as TTT Super Admin, SSRP Admin, Teamspeak Staff, Deathrun Moderator and Bhop Moderator. I have a lot of experience, and I feel that I can bring this experience to Bhop in a fuller way as an Admin. I want to be able to help out the server and the community more than I have been able to as a Moderator, and I think that I have what it takes to help the server. The staff team on Bhop has very few members, and so there are not many staff members online for the majority of the time. I try to be as active as I can whilst upholding my activity on all the servers that I am staff on, and I feel that I would be able to fill one of the gaps in the staff team well, and I feel that I would be able to help the server and make it easier for the users and the other staff members.
Extra Information: (Not Required)
I will ensure that I attend the full meeting this week.
Thank you for reading my application!
