First of all, the best Peter Parker *is* Tom Holland. But okay, let's just assume that you're talking about Tobey Macquire. He was 26 when the first movie aired. Andrew Garfield, the Amazing Spider-Man Spider-Man was 29 if I recall correctly.

Tom Holland is the youngest Peter Parker we'e ever had, aged 20 when the movie was in production. And it shows, because although he is a little bit on the older side, he actually feels a bit like a kid that is supposed to be in high school. Or at least it feels way more that way than any of the other Spider-Men we've had.

What movie have you fucking seen, everyone in the Spider-Man fanbase agrees that Garfield looks too old and that Tobey Macquire, although he fitted the role, would not be able to do well as a High School student which is exactly what a large portion of the community wanted.

It is why Tom Holland is perfect - aside from his amazing acting, he was young enough for this to seem believable and the way that he represents Spider-Man is exactly what people wanted to see from him.
