To everyone saying "Its a bit early, etc." The idea of seasonal events and updates is that they're out on time, otherwise they have a significantly less meaning and or impact. What's the point on releasing a valentines day update or any other holiday update if it's a week, or two weeks after the date the event it's based around is over?
Yes, but many of those said events go on for long after the specific holiday is over. I don't think it's a problem considering that.
I can understand maybe a 48 hour delay but any further is probably a bit far and may as well just not happen.
As I asked previously though, was the event
confirmed? Correct me if I am wrong, but I don't think it was. Sure, maybe it breaks from tradition a little, but there could be a variety of reasons why something like this isn't happening. For those of you are trying to hold out hope for a Summer Update of the sort, then you should probably consider that it'd be beneficial if all resources/time get dedicated towards that rather than a mini update for a seasonal holiday. I'd like to argue that people are far more tied up during Spring break rather than the Summer time, and the latter is unarguably the best time to push out an update assuming it's going to happen.
The updates for me personally I am not fussed about, I rarely play the server anymore and mostly post on the forums but events are never confirmed until the announcement day.
Fairly sure the reason updates aren't happening currently is because Chute is having IRL issues and I respect that, unfortunately the same can't be said for other users that live and breath updates from the server.
Honestly they should just stick to updates being on holidays such as Halloween, Christmas and other large holidays and if they've got the time then they should work on the small updates such as April Fools, otherwise the developers will end up burning themselves out and running out of ideas very soon.
Most players seem to ask constantly when "the update is coming out" despite one never being confirmed, they just assume that because there's a holiday, such as Easter around the corner that means there's 100% going to be an update and they end up getting their hopes up.
