DarkRP Rules

Explain "Random Death Match" and give an example scenario.

Random Death Match (short RDM) is when a Player is killing a other Player without a RolePlay Reason.

Ex: Player A has joined the server and has been teleported to Spawn. Player B is coming to Spawn at this moment and is directly killing him. He killed him without a reason and has Rdm'ed him.


Explain "New Life Rule" and give an example scenario.

The New Life Rule or New Life Return is when a Player goes back to this place where he get killed with RP reason under 3 minutes.

Ex: Player A has been built a Base and Player B is trying to raid him. At this time Player A gets killed by Player B. Player A doesnt want to lose his Printers and is running back to his Base after respawn. He is breaking the NL-Rule when he comes back under 3 Minutes.


Explain "Metagaming" and give an example scenario.

Metagaming is when you use the IC-Chat (In Character Chat) or the OOC-Chat (Out of Character Chat) in the wrong way.

Ex: Player A is getting raided again. He doesnt want to lose his Printers again. He calls his friends to help defending him with /ooc. He is metagaming.

Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x accuses player y for RDMing him, the console log shows that player y killed player x.

First i would talk to Player x (teleport him to me) and let him tell his story. When the story would match i teleport Player y to me and i ask him to tell me why he killed player x. When both stories are matching and player y is recognizing that he has rdm'ed player x i would warn him for that. If the stories are not matching i would check which classes both players have played at this moment (when Player x was rdm'ed), because maybe someone has changed his class before i started the F1. I would decide then in the different situation that player y has rdm'ed played player x and gets a warning or i have to warn player x to make a false report for RDM.


Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x accuses player y for breaking NLR, the kills are pretty close together in console (a few lines apart) at a peak time.

First i would teleport Player x to me and ask him for the story and for any proofs. I would check that player y get killed under 3 minutes by the same person (logs). When this does match i would teleport player y to me and ask him why he is breaking NLR and would give him a warning. When there is no proof for that (and no sign in the logs) i have to explain player x that there is no proof to warn player y for that. but i would also give player y a spoken warning to stop breaking NLR.


Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x calls for help in the OOC chat because his bank is being raided

I would talk to player x (PM) that he is metagaming and its not allowed to write in OOC chat with RP Reason.
If i happens again i would teleport him to me and warn him for metagaming and maybe explain it again.


Why I should be chosen (longer answer expected here - at least 150 words).

I think i should be chosen, because i want to keep the two DarkRP servers clear of rulebreakers that the game stays fair. And i also want to explain new players the rules of the DarkRP servers when they are asking for that or they are breaking a rule. I have made my mistakes in my first hours on this servers and i also know that i am not the last one making mistakes, so i hope to keep the gameplay fair and to support this really really nice Roleplay Game in an Ego Shooter Game like Garrys Mod. I hope you give me a chance to improve myself a little bit more. And i know there are a lot of other moderators and admins who are doing a good job and i want to become one of them who are doing a good job. As moderator i would first keep the servers clear of rulebreaker but also explain them rules and help the new players with the RP-system. But i also want to stay playing that game like a lot of other staff members.
