TOPIC: Now...help is required!

Now...help is required! 6 years 3 months ago #794286

Ok, Now i really really want to play zap rn but i still have a...HUGE problem.

My Gmod has stopped working .

What is the problem?

Step by step:
1. I Click play for gmod
2. It says that im playing the game
3. the game comes up in task manager under background processes
4. the game does not come up in my taskbar

Things ive tried:
Searched up on youtube
Reinstalled it
Deleted a bunch of stuff from gmod files (Over 2000)
verified integrity of game files

Now i REALLY need all the help i can get.

PLEASE HELP

Formatting your PC won't do any good. Please just use the Windows built-in reinstall function and click on delete all apps and files. (Don't forget to make a backup though.) That is the most radical option you can do, just reinstalling everything...

An option you should try before that though is just deleting Gmod and reinstalling from scratch and unsubscribing to all Addons you don't use anymore!

Now, once i click Play it says "Would you like this app to make changes to your computer" if i click yes then the same problem comes but if i say now it says Failed to start process for Garry'es Mod: "The Operation was canceled by the user" (0x4C7) See the steam support site for more infomation Now, what could this mean?, do i have some sort of virus ? No it does not.

I think you should delete steam and then goto werever your steam folder was, if there is still some files on steam then delete the left overs. Make sure you completly removed steam. Now install it and gmod again in a different directory if it was in program files take it to like games etc

No it does not.

And my Gmod used to work, in the same files they are in now..........i think
