Just because the applications are open doesnt mean that someone will be accepted as SA. But the whole idea of applications for the lead team is to allow admins a better way to showcase their interest in joining the lead team. Even highlighting things the leadteams may have over looked. So keeping the apps open is not really a bad thing even if we dont accept any new members that week. Personally I would think a system where we leave the applications open and have applicants create one thread that remains open as long as they wish to apply for the promotion or until they are accepted. That way people wouldn't have to constantly remake their applications, and they could easily track their progress of responding to the feed back from the lead team. It would encourage those applying to put alot of time into the main application. This type of idea could also be implemented into the current system of having applications open and closed. Instead of Denying and locking threads we could just reply with some constrictive criticism and leave the application open until the next meeting if the applications remained open or until the next time the applications were to be open if they were closed.
