I got inspired to write this since I saw the Nerf Jackhammer thread and wanted to voice my opinion on various bugs and (in my opinion) bad design choices.

First to start off with the weapons, they are incredibly unbalanced, I think that all weapons should have a specific purpose, times when they are good and times when they are bad. The m24 sniper and shotgun are good examples of this. Sniper is really bad in close combat but really useful when picking people off across the map (it helps that the sound engine is shit and you can't hear where sounds come from). You get the point.

RPK. It is totally useless in all kinds of situations, bad damage, bad control, bad fire rate, this weapon should never be used in its current form. To make this a bit more viable I think it should get a bit increase in damage and recoil control so it becomes a viable weapon in more long range combat but still bad in close combat compared to the other rifles.
The Mp5, AK, M4, shotgun and m24 are in pretty good places even though they also could need some more tweaking, but they are not as urgent.

The overpowered weapons is a hard topic and I would like to hear some discussion about it aswell. I get that the current system wants to reward players for playing for a long time on the server and give them better weapons, but when this might drive new players away just because they are so freaking overpowered that it doesn't matter how they approach the enemy since they will get shot down no matter what they do, then we got a PROBLEM. I believe that the gap from the high level weapons and the standard weapons are too wide and need to be drastically lowered.

The Uzi and Mp9 are currently in great positions, they are a little bit better than the standard rifles but they are not close to gamebreaking. If you face someone who has a Uzi or Mp9 you can easily win if you either have positional advantage, get them from behind or your aim is better than theirs (this do NOT apply to the vector and jackhammer).

The vector and Jackhammer really needs to get nerfed. They are super overpowered and you can kill anyone in a 1v1 no matter what advantage they might have in the start of the fight. The Jackhammer can kill with 3 shots across the map with great accuracy and great firerate, DID I MENTION THAT THIS IS A SHOTGUN? Just nerf it already. The vector is almost as bad but not really.

A vector can easily get outranged by snipers which is a good thing. But when it does 25 damage on body shots and 50 damage in the head with a firerate higher than anything in the game and a accuracy almost being the best of all the rifle then we still got a problem, nerf please, this is a submachine gun and it should ONLY be good in close combat, NOT medium to high range combat.

Then we got a bug that I encountered yesterday. I froze a guy for the banter, and then realised that there was no command for an admin to unfreeze, since we don't have access to it (i dont know why this is a thing, please fix). Apparently you take no damage when you are frozen so I and other people started shooting at the frozen guy. Long story short, I got banned for low karma and the guy had to reconnect to stop be frozen.

Ladders. Oh god, those janky ass ladders. I still do not understand how to use them with over 200 hours gametime on this map. They feel super unsmooth and they are the most horrible ladders I've ever seen. I do understand if they might not be changable due to the fact that they are made inside the map, and to my understanding the lead team does not want to mod the map since that will drive players away. I just wanted to say that the ladders are horrible.

I think your points are valid and should be seen to - on this topic, I think some player models need testing; some of the hitboxes are definitely broken

Most of your points are very valid. The vector has been nerfed, but I think it should be a little more difficult to get.

In terms of admins not having access to unfreeze, I'll get that sorted ASAP. Having access to freeze and not unfreeze is not intentional. Likely that Johnler forgot to add back unfreeze perms when he added back freeze after removing it a while ago

I strongly agree with the vektor OPness. The fire rate is so high that when someone starts shooting you cant even fire one bullet back because you're already dead lel.

Yea, this is very bad aswell, I don't even try to snipe for headshots anymore. This applies to all player models including the standard T ones.

the standard model is more to do with hit reg than hitboxes but yeah agreed (I think hit reg could be worked on too, I saw a script that claims to fix it)

I think that the jackhammer is ok as is. It is pretty hard to get, which justifies how good it is. I've been in several gangs during my game time, and only one had the jackhammer unlocked during the time I was in it. It is true that the accuracy and range are a bit too good for a shotgun, but other than that, I think it is ok :)

I will soon make a spreadsheet suggesting new weapon damage recoil etc values.

About the freeze problem, i have removed the permission to freeze players from admins as its totally useless.

YES, I made the Nerf Jackhammer topic. The Jackhammer is hard to get, but when someone gets it, he/she is almost a god. Some of the playermodels have bæd hitboxes, and THE LADDERS OH THE FREAKING LADDERS. I hate them, idk how I just die when I walk on them....

I am unsure whether the ladders are fixable. In all my years of playing TTT have I never seen a map with good, proper working ladders.
