TOPIC: [TTT] Monthly Map Votes

To provide a even more diverse and always changing server experience, as a staff team we've decided to have a new monthly map vote which we hope will provide a:

• Better Server Experience
• More Unique Map Selection
• More say for members of the Community
• More Personal Touch to server Content

With the constantly changing map roster, we hope and believe that this will bring more players to the community and server.

How it will work
The system will be players will post on this thread using a template you can find below, and the ten most popular maps will be chosen for said month.

• The voting time period Will last a week before the first of the following month. (Example: 2/23/2016-3/1/2016)
• Maps that have been previously chosen for the month can be picked the following month.
• You can vote for any amount of maps.

The Template
The voting will take places for one week before the first of the month, and current maps will be changed with the 10 most popular voted maps that week the day after voting ends.

IMPORTANT

- You should only post once per voting period, if you want to vote for more maps than you vote for additional maps and you've already posted, press and add them there.
- If your post and or map vote is found in violation of The Terms of Use, it will be deleted.


What else is new?

Alongside this new system, we will also be introducing monthly changelogs, each month, a changelog post will be made that will include both the vote results and what was added/remove/changed/fixed in TTT, stay tuned for that as well!

Personally, I think cs_estate would be a great addition as a map.

Why would this map work well on the server?: It seems like a great map for TTT. It offers quite diverse gameplay, and the AWP wouldn't be as overpowered on this map as it would be on other maps (*cough* *cough* ttt_dolls *cough*)

Here is a video which shows how Estate looks, I know it's on CS 1.6 and not on GMod or CS:S, but the map I linked is basically the same map ported from the gold source engine to the source engine.



If tester rooms and traitor rooms are necessary, I don't think it would be hard at all to add it via SDK, as the estate in the map has a lot of rooms which can be easily modified to be tester rooms or traitor rooms.

The yard in front of the estate would offer some pretty tense 1v1 situations, the estate itself offers many places where you can surprise people as a T, so the map itself encourages innocents to stick together against the traitors to avoid getting killed, but they can still be surprised by the traitors because of the high amount of corridors.

There are also some other nice additions to the map, like the 2nd floor to the estate, the snipers nest on the 2nd floor, the tunnel connecting the street with the estate, the basement, etc...

Overall, it kind of feels like a way better version of ttt_bank_b3 imo.

Why would this map work well on the server?: It's fun to play around on this map with the music, melon machine, the cars, etc. Even when playing seriously I think this map has many good design decisions and is visually pleasing.

Why would this map work well on the server?: Well balanced and it's minigame can be fun to play which can bring people together.

Why would this map work well on the server?: Although there isn't much verticality in this map it's still well balanced and the theme of the map is quite unique.

Why would this map work well on the server?: Very popular map, 2016 version is a huge improvement compared to original rooftops map in balance, visuals and optimization.

Why would this map work well on the server?: This map was fun to play on and was also used to hold an event: a crowbar free-for-all at the "arena".

Why would this map work well on the server?: Low gravity which slightly changes the game and adds some variety. Not really balanced.

Why would this map work well on the server?: Very popular map, fun to play on.

Why would this map work well on the server?: I personally like this map a lot since although it looks bland, it's fairly balanced. Also brings a unique theme to the game since we'll be triggering tumblr users left and right.

Why would this map work well on the server?: Fairly balanced and it's a dark map which allows players for a stealthier approach.

Why would this map work well on the server?: Because minecraft is so extremely overexposed, people will absolutely LOVE and PLAY ANY AND ALL MINECRAFT MAPS.

I say more than half of my suggested maps will get denied because many people don't like playing on other maps than minecraft, clue and rooftops.

Why would this map work well on the server?: Its a very nice and unique map. Eventually the ship goes fully under water resulting in a deathmatch I guess you could say.
