Shouldn’t the ban time be one day because that’s how much we ban for when the staff ban manually. Also I was wondering, what happens after they get the 4th warn and get banned, then come back from the hour ban and get another warn, do they just get a longer ban straight away or have to go through the whole threshold again?
Come on my dude we have been through this, there is nothing saying that you must ban for 1 day. Think for yourself you fookin sheep.
What Miia is basically saying is that there is nothing officially stating that you need to ban for a certain duration, and if people were to get banned for a day because they got 4 warnings in a day, especially as a newer player who's rather unsure or even completely new to the gamemode or even the game, they won't really understand. I can understand where you're coming from, but there are other ways to handle every situation. Some situations maybe similar to others, but they will always be different from one another. That being said, touching base on what you asked afterwards, because of the change Nick did, I'm not entirely sure what this does for the Awarn system, and to be entirely honest, he shouldn't of touched this system at all, not without the permission of a Head Admin in any case. In any case, you can ban users for constantly breaking server rules, which is partly what Miia was touching base on, but this needs to be used sparingly and this can very well blow up and back fire on you if you aren't completely careful in your decisions, which is why it isn't mentioned all that much. But, if you read the post Raeker made regarding banning, it's pretty clear that abusive and repeat offenders aren't protected by the Staff Ethos, and banning a user who was already temporarily banned by the system due to excessive warnings within a short period of time, is completely fine. As I said before though, it must be used sparingly, because if used in an excessive manner on your end, you would instead be breaching the Staff Ethos yourself, and therefore you would no longer be protected by them, thus making the actions you just committed, abusive.
