TOPIC: Rules (TTT) are lacking.

Rules (TTT) are lacking. 6 years 3 months ago #790605

I just got warned for killing someone who admitted killing an innocent

Context. He was claiming that the innocent shot first (no proof) but was clear as day that he killed that said innocent player. Only thing that closely relates to this is rule 2.4
If two individuals are fighting and you have no proof of which could be the traitor, you must wait before joining in the fight until one player dies and they either; identifies the body/round ends/question them.

In the current situation the suspect has killed an innocent and the body has been identified as an inno. Are we allowed to kill on this situation or no?

I get that its easy to side with the admin who made this judgement that it was breaking the rules and I accept that. but in that case my warning should be removed due to this "rule" not existing in the rules we are supposed to play by

E: Just to add this is not something admins unanimously agree
*NAME RETRACTED* has no idea wether or not he should do anything.
Admin that punished me only warned me since he didnt see slay a warranted punsihement
*NAME RETRACTED* has let several cases pass by since according to him it was valid reason to kill

If admin in question lets me post their name I will edit this again

Thanks thats all

The killing of an innocent would be considered a valid KOS reason. Don't forget that at the end of rule 2.4 it states that you can question the user. This is because the other two can provide solutions to the situation themselves (if the body is identified and it turns out to be a traitor, the situation is solved and the person who killed them is proven. If the round ends, the person that was killed was obviously a traitor and the situation is solved.. In the cases where the situation is not solved, you need to question the user as to why they killed them. If that answer is lacking or they refuse, you can kill them. If you do not question them then, depending on the situation, it can be considered RDM. Unless they're blatantly a traitor you can kill them straight up, however in those situations rule 2.4 doesn't even apply in the first place.

What would be your ruling if the suspect would state "they shot me first"? Is it valid to kill them if this answer does not enough to convince you?

It's a gray area, I find at least. Let me put it this way: I find punishing someone for it rather harsh.

Well i dont agree with LoneleyDodo but i really think that Detectives shouldnt be allowed to KOS on IDed bodies DNA from inno body, the questioning thing is so much better, all in all this is a "roleplaying" game.

Your punishment if you don't believe them is karma loss, you don't need any harsher punishment. It's a pretty big traitorous act to kill an innocent and it would be pretty dumb if every traitor could get away with it by saying "he shot first".

Bare in mind that some people do not have mics, it would be very unfair to them to be forced to type to question people only to be killed every time while typing.

You should question people if you and that person is dead and only discuss that in death if you dont wanna be killed over and over again when talking to someone because i doubt your both gonna live the whole round every round.

Unless your retarded its blatantly obvious that TTT is a role-playing game mode, considering you spend your whole time role playing as a terrorist. In actuality there is more RP most of the time on TTT than SSRP.
