TOPIC: Should we remove the elevator rule or not? POLL!

I think it should be removed to add balance to make SSRP decent again.

At the moment you can do two things,

Elevator base or afk mine

So nerf mining and remove elevator bases so EVERYONE can make money again. I know people are gonna be stupid and say stupid shit like "oh use a suit and its easy" and loads more bullshit like that like use this and use that. Thats all very well and good but how do you get the stuff when being new? You cant base because rich people have nothing better to do than do a single left click with there 100mil super weapon to fuck over everything they just made. So when basing normally gets fucked over and they dont have the stuff to raid anyone they are stuck with nothing OR they can waste hour after hour afk mining OR spending real money on items and its the reasons new players cant stick around because its so one lane now its do this or fail. Removing any form of fun from basing or making money due to not being able to either because people just abuse how over powdered stuff is and fuck over new players for fun...

If you think im wrong PROVE ME WRONG make a brand new steam account get gmod dont use old friends and record yourself getting from nothing to something without joining an elevator base. If you can prove to me you did this I will take back my point but I know for a fact its stupidly difficult too so no one will

Remove elevator bases and nerf mining so people have a chance and rich people who abuse the over powdered stuff stop being selfish by voting no so you get reward at the expense of newer players.

I think the rule which states you can't shoot up the elevator with explosives should be adjusted so that you can use specials up the elevator. This would allow base entrances to be destroyed and allow raiders to have a high chance of being successful. This would also give enough chance for the defenders because they could adjust their bases to have more 'protection' away from the elevator rather than just blocking it with a single prop not allowing the raiders to raid.

Another rule that would stop people from abusing this rule could be that you aren't allowed to hand cannon jump up the elevator shaft. This would stop people from destroying the entrance and then jumping up the elevator without the defenders knowing when the raid is going to 'start'.

With the new update coming i think that the rule being removed will encourage more people to use the new printer that will be coming rather than just selling it for an extremely high price in their store never to be used and if they are used the person who bought it will lose money massively which will discourage them from liking the update and think "ill play more in the next update" and its an editable loop.

I would love to see a total new map for server 3. New places to base and no basing in elevators. I also hope that they will buff mining so people will base more instead of mining. I don't know why people dont base anymore because when server 3 didn't exist people were still basing. They can also remove the rule but balance the rules for elevator. They should add a rule that raiders can shoot up the shaft but defenders can't shoot down to make it a bit balanced.

But still, you can easily from a raider with a suit. Just gluon him or use any other special weapon on him. Also I don't think every raider will use it as some people are scared to lose their suits as they might think someone will gluon him.

There are so many people who say oh it's not that hard to raid elevator bases. Well who here remembers that time on server 3 where a ton of people decided to base across spawn in that elevator base and how long was that base up for? It was up for i believe 72 hours. So don't give me that BS about elevator bases are not hard to raid because if that was true how did that base last for that amount of time? You also have to think about this: Lower tier players don't have gluon or suits how can they raid if they can't even get past the first prop blocking the boor because they get shot by a tgun before they can either lockpick or throw and emp down. The people wanting elevator bases are those who can defend one and spent money on buying dupes. They just want to go back to their happy place and base somewhere where they can stay for hours upon hours. Just move on guys there are other places that are great for bases. So I am definitely on the Keep the rule side.

Ok I want this rule to stay as it is cause people are 24/7 tgunning the elevator shaft when they hear it coming up , and don't give me that BS iTS eAsy To RaID JuST Use A SuiT AnD A GlOUn gUn Cause not everyone has 1 suit or even the money to afford them same goes whit gluon gun the thing is there are other good places to base other than the elevators so the rule should stay

If you're judging on your ability to run in and kill everyone in the base you may as well forget about raiding it. Even without a suit they are pretty easy to raid, use your brain; send up some c4, some thermals, get on top of the elevator and killing people becomes pretty easy.

As I've said on every topic about elevator bases don't expect to raid a base worth close to 1b in one try alone without losing items/risking them, gang bases aren't made easy so anyone can raid.

Basing has now become stale, many people don't use their special printers in bases cause its a big risk, yes this stop people from afk prining but this is a much better option than those exact people afk mining for hours on end.

I don't think we should have ANY entities inside the elevator-ever. (because you could get easily stuck) However, I think raid-able entities should be allowed by elevator access. I don't really know the reasoning behind the decision of the rule, but yea, it should be changed.

When will this poll end...ele bases are better than everyone AFK mining. I miss the days of entering the base and getting 10 fps because like 4 gangs are basing.
