I noticed that the MetaGaming rule on SSRP got removed so let me just hop, skip and jump onto this bandwagon for some free posts.

I dont think that the issue is how "important" the rule is. I think the issue is that the rule actually makes sense to have since OOC is "Out of Character chat" Also this is just gonna make people use OOC instead of the group chats cause why would they

Conventional roleplay is dead on the server.

Nobody actually cared about the rule, it was more of an arbitrary enforcement.

Unless you have a strong roleplay centric game mode to maintain (aka perp,) a rule like this inhibits more than it helps.

You need to lookup the definition of the term roleplay

The very essence of being on the server means you are roleplaying. In fact, there are no rules to govern how you can and can't act in the real world, this is not the same as laws by the way, they already exist as part of the roleplay world.

So the fact that rules exist actually takes away from roleplay. The SSRP server infact gives you more freedoms and less rules than other more serious RP servers, ironically as a result of having too many rules and restrictions they become less relatable to the real world and more like a simulator where you are forced to act a certain way, funny really when you think about it.

Roleplaying is used by most people as a word to describe being somebody completely else than you really are (for example a cop) and take it really seriously. Being on ssrp might be roleplaying in a literal sense if you look at the definition but that's not what most people think of as roleplaying.

The rule was removed as they were no point in having it followed by, It was just getting much negatives than positives.
