Why try to raise this discussion again? It has been put down plenty of times. It is clear that the CM team do not wish for another change in the hacking policy.

Really, all this post will do is cause drama and issues that is not needed. It won't get us anywhere at all.

IF you are caught cheating, you have the intent to ruin or disrupt other players experience within the community, not an "Ohh it was an accident".

So many cheats are easily detectable by some form of a means, Odium, being the broken screenshot, which they won't ever be able to fix in their current methods, or even what seems to be still more common than citizen, "Convar edits, and Source Edits"(3 people in one given day logged on to surf, and had Convar Edits), in which, the PS servers do checks on these, with it being (kick, followed by a ban).

It is WAY to easy to cheat, and even at the basic level of cheating is not detected on SSRP, like it is on the PS servers.

Citizen will be hard to catch, due to their systems and how they have made the cheat, I give them props, they have made something that is good at not being detected, shame the rest of it is crappy lol.

In my opinion, if you are caught hacking, it should be a perm ban, with a chance to appeal after x time for example 2-4 weeks.
with the length progressively getting longer to appeal, not "Kick, Ban".

I personally was caught cheating on SSRP at one point, when i first started playing, as of which i got a kick for, but that didn't stop be from logging on again with no visuals, at that time, if it was a ban for a period of time, i know for a fact i would have came back without anything on.
Further more, if users join the server to primarily hack and no regards, then they won't ever appeal anyway.

The current policy is way to lenient on hackers, and i agree Scammers get a harsher punishment than you do when hacking.

Why not...Cac? (Cake Anti Cheat) It stop my Memeware. When I first 'hack/troll' I bypass the current Anti-cheat system in Zarp last year idk. idk about citizen and the other never tried cause I luv Zarp <3 and I miss...you *crying*

The hacking policy protecting people we knew 100% were hacking has always been annoying. I doubt it'll be changed but can always hope.

EDIT: The one I hated most is that it protects people using blatant and obvious detours to make the request fail or come back with missing menus and getting in pretty dumb arguments with people saying "Does it clearly show ESP etc? No? Then you can't ban him"

it would stop a lot of randies using shitty ass hacks, also would Stop aimware which is becoming a viable cheat when you dont use visuals because CitizenHack is getting easier to detect due to the steam overlay thing.

Hopefully someone decides to work on a Anti-Cheat but I am helping Tyler with a few things atm.

We punish scammers this way so we can force them to give the items they scammed back. As soon as they give the items back they are unbanned. You may scam million of times and give the items back without getting perma banned ( except recents ) but if you hack more than twice you get perma banned and have to appeal.
